Situated along the Livorno Coast by the famous La Baracchina Rossa bar a main bar where Local Livornese meet for breakfast and aperitivo. L’Ostricaio is a family run beach shack serving fresh shell fish that include oysters, clams, sea truffle and when in season sea urchin.

You will also find many other fish delights on the menu and when I arrived at the packed shack for lunch the special of the day was gnocchi with lobster!

I can not resist fresh sea urchin! so I went with the first course of spaghetti with sea urchin.  Well worth a drive to Livorno for lunch at this wonderful location overlooking the island of Capraia.
