Ristorante del Fagioli – Restaurant in Florence

Corso dei Tintori 47r
50122 Firenze

If you are looking for a true Florentine meal then Ristorante del Fagioli is the place. Seasonal, typical Florentine fair that includes soups, a selection of meats like the Florentine Steak, beef stew with pepper, tripe the list goes on…
I love typical Florentine restaurants this time of the season as you can enjoy those delicious typical soups with crostini topped with seasonal vegetables such as Cavolo Nero, Artichoke and Chicory.  Although I can never resist the Chicken Liver Pate at this location.

Ristorante del Fagioli is one of the oldest restaurants in Florence it has the symbol of the ‘Esercizi Storici Fiorentini’ this is a symbol located at the front of any activity that has been in business for at least 50 years. It is a shame that when it comes to restaurants you can not really abide with the rule that all of the locations with this symbol will be fantastic. Historical restaurant Coco Lezzone shows the symbol and they serve pre-cooked pasta! basically they microwave the pasta! very sad since the location was once one of Florences best restaurants.  When you ask for pasta and it arrives after two minutes you have to ask the chef if the first courses are pre-made if he tells you they are pre-cooked leave!!! It is not acceptable.

I love restaurants where you can see a part of the kitchen. You can see the chefs at Ristorante del Fagioli preparing with passion and technique. It really is one of Florence’s best locations don’t miss it!!
